Standing Club Committees
The Club has three standing committees: the Alumnae Admissions Committee, the Communications Committee and the Nominating Committee.
The Alumnae Admissions Committee works to identify the best and brightest prospective students by representing Smith at local college fairs, conducting interviews for students from the area who are applying to the college, hosting informational teas and working with high school guidance counselors to distribute the Smith College Book Award. We also have some unique Minnesota admissions traditions – delivering a rose to each accepted student and sending care packages for Minnesota Smith students during spring finals. If you are interested in being involved with these activities, please contact Alumnae Admissions Coordinator, Oona McNally ‘19 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Communications Committee ensures that alumnae are aware of and welcomed to our various events, activities and opportunities. We currently communicate via email blast, e-newsletter and social media. Interested in helping enhance and continually update our outreach? Contact Communications Committee chair, Marty Swain at email@example.com.
The Nominating Committee seeks Smith alumnae to serve our Club as a member of the Executive Committee (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) as well as other volunteer positions. If you are interested in being a Club leader or participating in our nominating committee, please contact Nominating Committee chair, Maggie Vecchio-Smith ’99 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
