Special Member Event at the History Theatre

GLORIA: A Life
Special Member Event!
October 20 at 2pm
History Theatre – Regional Premiere
written by Emily Mann/directed by Risa Brainin

“Gloria Steinem is a visionary, an icon, a hero to millions of women and me.” – Oprah Winfrey

This new work by Tony Award-winning playwright Emily Mann celebrates the life of one of the most important figures of America’s feminist movement! Nearly half a century later, Ms. Steinem’s fight for gender equality is still a battle yet to be won. Her work continues in this powerful theatrical event with an all-female cast led by Charity Jones as Gloria Steinem (’66) and directed by Risa Brainin.

All dues-paying members (and guests) are invited to join together for the final performance of GLORIA: A Life at special discount rates. The post-performance discussion, focusing on the impact of Steinem and her work on our lives, will be led by our own Hayden Howland ’06.

Pay your dues on the Smith Club of MN website and then follow the link on the events page to purchase your History Theatre ticket. Or, if you have already paid your dues…CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!
